DORCAS through the years…
 
When I began attending CEC in 1985, I was impressed with the women’s department named, DORCAS. It was a group of gray-haired beautiful women who were very active to fellowship and attending Patibayan. Year 1992, I saw myself, leading these nanays and lolas in our nurture class and other trainings. Still, the enthusiasm was the same. The zealousness to serve the Lord was very evident. Now, after 15 long years of witnessing the growth of women’s ministry I can’t help but give thanks to God because I have seen how He continuously show himself among us.
Even though we haven’t call the women’s ministry now as Dorcas, still through the years here in CEC the virtues of Dorcas the woman in the Bible (Acts 9:36) who was always doing good and helping the poor still remains… You will no longer see our women as homemakers or plain housewives or career-driven women alone they are now out everywhere actively waging war against our enemy to conquer many communities to change lives for the glory of God.
 Presently, here at CEC-Central we have 3 women net leaders with a team of 24 CG leaders and interns namely: (1) Sis. Hermie Arcega with Edith Alcaraz, Sioneng Rifol, Josie San Pedro, Beca Montaniel and Lita Anzures (with CGL interns: Dory Espiritu) (2) Sis. Rica Menguez with Tina Lopez, Mildred Caparas, Dory Fermino, Malou Roque (with youth CG Leaders: Brigette Termulo, Nenet Moraga, Bea Valeroso), Sis Ada Donato for the single ladies, Sis. Sarah Valencia and Sis Jhune Robles (3) Sis. Grace Termulo with (group 1) Tess Ylasco, Rose Moraga, Carol Salviejo and (group 2) Lea Marasigan, Marie Igual, Susan Flores, Juanet Quizon and CGL intern Helen Masa.
